Hi, I’m Luca! I’m a classy 9 year old guy who is looking for a forever family with whom to spend my golden years. If you’re looking for a constant companion to shower you with love, affection, and captivating conversations, look no further! I even give hugs—I’ll stand up and put my paws on your shoulders, and then press my cheek into yours. And sometimes I’ll just climb right up into your arms.I was adopted as a kitten from a kill shelter, and I lived with my dad my whole life, but then he had to move somewhere they don’t allow cats. So, I went to a family member for awhile, but they didn’t have the time they felt I needed, so my dad agreed for me to come to BTKR to find a new home. That has been a lot of change! I am a REALLY affectionate gentleman, and I like to have a lot of pets and a lot of time with my humans, which was the reason my most recent home wasn’t a good fit for me. I LOVE pets, and I will ask for them pretty much all the time. I like to be near you, even just to watch what you’re doing and occasionally chat with you about it. I’m very vocal and I’ll quickly tell you what I like and don’t like! In my most recent home, I was a little slappy when people stopped petting me too soon; it hasn’t been an issue since I came to the rescue, but I do need a quiet, calm home with adults only. I will probably be a lap cat, or at least like to be very near you so that I can check in with you and get pets often. I’m not a big fan of other cats; I’ll need to be your one and only pet, but I PROMISE I will give you more love than you could ever imagine! I have had some issues with urinary crystals, so I am on a prescription food, Royal Canin S/O Calm, and the vet recommends that I have only wet food in order to keep me as hydrated as possible! I LOVE high up places, so I’ll definitely need a treehouse or somewhere that I can perch and watch all the goings on in my new home. I also adore cardboard scratchers, and I’m very disciplined about using them! For playtime, feather wand toys are my first love. Are you ready for some Luca lovin?
